The Soundtrack Workshop
This spring season, 20-30 Philly rock school students
will have the opportunity to compose, arrange, and
perform an original soundtrack to a classic silent era film. This workshop will run 8-10 weeks of 3 hour rehearsals culminating in a live performance of the piece and viewing of the film in The Black Lodge. Its focus will be on creative composition in a 'large rock ensemble' setting, instrumental song writing, and improvisation. There will be many guest artists through the course of this workshop and it will be open to all ages. A live recording will be produced from the final performance which will be pressed as a DVD.
